English
This week we started reading our new book for this term ‘Here We Are’ by Oliver Jeffers. We looked at planet Earth from a different angle, we used Google Earth to look at the Earth from space. Children enjoyed searching for their own houses on Google Earth. We learnt the names of the planets in our solar system. We used our imagination to write about planet of our own, full of adventures and unusual things on our imaginary planet. We learnt about physical features on land and sea, we then used adjectives to describe the physical features. We also wrote a list of basic needs for humans and animals to survive.
Maths
During our maths lessons this week, we practiced counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. We learnt songs about counting in 2s, 5s and 10s and completed worksheets.
 Other
In PSHE we thought about how to be a good friend and thought of a quality in us that makes us a good friend. In Art, we compared two or more pieces of art and wrote about the similarities and differences. We also created art, inspired by Andy Warhol. In Science, we looked at animal families i.e. amphibians, reptiles, birds, fish and mammals.
