Year 1 Spring 2 Week 3

10 Mar 2022

English

This week we have focused on using the past tense adding the suffix 'ed' at the end of words and retelling the story of Paddington.

Maths

We are currently learning to count forwards and backwards to and from 50. We are also focusing on place-value to 50 looking at tens and ones.

Below is a link to an excellent app that you could use to support your child’s maths skills for 1 min per day, which also follows the scheme we use in school.

Science

We have explored the properties of materials and how magnets are used in machines and what clues we can use to inform which devices may have magnets.

Topic

We have focused on human features of a landscape this week for topic and what features make a city.
