1K Autumn week 5
06 Oct 2021
Children are really enjoying our text ‘Stomp, Chomp, Big Roars Here Come the Dinosaurs’ They have written some lovely sentences and joined in with the text. They have loved stomping their feet and roaring (really loudly) like dinosaurs.
In maths, we have been improving our vocabulary of comparing numbers, greater than, less than and equal to, as well as using the inequality signs ( < = >).
For science we learned how to keep safe in a thunderstorm and role-played the different types of objects we might use in various weather conditions
Children enjoyed giving and following algorithms in a hunt to their find their partner in computing.
During PSHE we explored a range of feelings and how our bodies might react when we experience certain emotions and feelings. Children loved acting out a range of emotions and guessing what their friend was expressing through their body language.
Just a reminder that it is really important that children bring to school their reading book and reading record every day – these are the books in their plastic wallet, as we will change their book at least once a week.
Our library day is a Friday and please make sure that your child brings this book in on a Friday.
As it is getting colder and the weather along with the temperature is somewhat unpredictable, please send your child to school with a jumper/cardigan and coat.
