Reception Spring 2 Week 2

Mrs Divall - 01 Mar 2023

This week in Maths, we have been learning all about 9&10. We have been busy representing, sorting, and ordering numbers to 10. Next week, we will continue our learning of 10 and focus on number bonds. if you would like to practice your number bonds to 10 at home, you can listen to this great song!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lD9tjBUiXs0

As part of our brilliant  new topic we have been spending lots of time outside this week. Thank you so much for all the amazing donations we have been receiving, we REALLY appreciate it! In topic, we have been learning all about butterflies. We have been reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar and discussing the butterfly life cycle. We have also been learning all about how butterflies are pollinators and discussed how they are super important to our environment. On Friday, we will be learning all about symmetry and create some beautiful butterfly artwork.

Tomorrow, Thursday 2nd March is World Book Day. The children are invited to bring in their favourite book and dress up as their favourite character! Please make sure the children are dressed appropriately for the weather. We look forward to seeing the costumes!
