Welcome Back & Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Welcome back! I hope you all had a lovely half term!
This week in Reception, we have been learning the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
In English, we have been listening to the story and recalling the events of the story. In maths this week we have been learning about money. We have been learning and naming the coins (1p, 2p, 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2). In topic this week, building houses for the seven dwarfs and looking at reflection and light.
On Wednesday, we were very lucky to have a special treat as the fire fighters and fire engine came in to see us. We all had the opportunity to go inside a fire engine and use a fireman’s hose. It was great fun!
Today, we have had World Book Day and had some lovely costumes from our favourite books! We had some wonderful costumes so thank you parents for making this happen!
Next week our topic will be The Ugly Duckling. We have also got our class assembly next week (Thursday 12th March @ 9.15am) and we would all love you to come to see what we have been learning about!
