Rec Aut 2 Week 3

11 Nov 2020

This week in Reception we have been learning all about the celebration of Diwali and the story of Rama and Sita. Children have been making Rangoli patterns, retelling the story through role play and enjoying dressing up. Children enjoyed listening to the big drums being played and joining in too.

We learnt about Remembrance Day and why it is important. We used the bottoms of bottles to make our own Poppy prints and we all took part in the 2 minute silence at school.

In maths we have been learning about repeating patterns. Please have a look at seesaw as there are some resources on there for you to complete with your child.

We have learnt 4 sounds this week- t, p, i and n. That means we know 8 in total now!

Please do check Seesaw for phonics and maths homework for this week.

The children were really excited to have their school photos taken, and they had a lovely time in PE too.

Don't forget this Friday (13th) is Children in Need day :)
