Year 1OS Update 9.9.22

09 Sep 2022

Welcome back, we hope you have had a wonderful summer! 😊
The children have settled in well and are adjusting well to new routines. It has been great to get to know the children this week and we are looking forward to an exciting year ahead.

English
This week in English, we have been writing all about superheroes. We have focused on using our sounds to help us spell and remembering to include capital letters and full stops in the correct places.

Maths
We started the week focusing on sorting objects in many different ways. The children really impressed us with their clever ways of grouping and organising different objects. We have also been working on our number correspondence and counting carefully.

Reminders:
> Please ensure all personal items are labelled to ensure things can be returned with ease if misplaced.
>PE days are Tuesdays.
> Look out for the Year 1 newsletter and homework map that will be coming home at the end of this week.
