Summer Term 2 Week 1

10 Jun 2022

It has been wonderful to see all our budding scientists in a range of different outfits. The children have really enjoyed learning about Anita Roddick and how she is an important scientist.

English
This week we have been writing an autobiography about  Anita Roddick, learning how to record facts and write these in sentences and using all the writing skills we have learned over the past year.

Maths
We have been recording data using a tally chart, counting in fives. We have started to look at arrays and use our skills of counting in twos, fives and tens.

Below is a link to an excellent app that you could use to support your child’s maths skills for 1 min per day, which also follows the scheme we use in school.

Science
We have been working scientifically, carrying out a questionnaire and recording our favourite smells and interpreting our results.
