Reception Dinosaurs Topic Week 4 Innovate and Express

This week in Reception we have been finishing off our dinosaur topic. We have created our own dinosaurs, and named them (some of us thought of really funny names like Arthursaurus)!
We have visited the ICT suite to create a habitat for our dinosaurs, using the Paint software. We have really improved our click and drag mouse skills.
In maths, we have been learning about how to form subtraction number sentences. We have set a numeral formation practise sheet for homework as we notice many children are still making numeral reversals. Next week we will be looking at measuring capacity in maths.
In phonics we have been working hard in our new groups. Please make sure you have read the phonics letter we sent home last week and continue to support your child's reading at home.
