Surprising Sharks and Tropical Seas
Mrs Zaayman & Miss Kelly - 07 Feb 2020
This week in reception we have had a fascinating week learning about Sharks and the tropical seas. We have looked at what animals live in the sea and have made our own underwater scene using paint and lots of other creative materials.
In literacy, we have been drawing and labelling different sharks (as there are so many!). Ask your child what different sharks there to see if they can remember. We have also been writing facts about sharks to add to our whole-class big book. In Maths, we have been focussing on addition and subtraction this week. In topic we have read the book ‘Surprising Sharks’ and have been looking at different sharks and how big they are in comparison to us.
The hand in date for any submissions from the Homework Map is on Monday 10
th February 2020.
The homework exhibition is on Wednesday 12
th February. We have already had some lovely submissions so we look forward to what else is to come! Please note, the homework map is optional, however it is a wonderful way for you to see what your child has been learning about at school.
Next week our topic will be based be Oh No, George!
Have a lovely weekend!
