Summer Time!

The weather has been getting warmer and warmer, so please ensure your child has a bottle of water to drink throughout the day. I have noticed a few juices though. Remember only water is allowed.
In writing this week we have been looking at the ‘The King of Space’. The children are enjoying this book. They have enjoyed drawing and describing their own superheroes and robots. Next week, we will be writing out own stories and making out of different materials our own robot.
Our learning in maths has taken us to look at 2D and 3D shapes. This will be a two-week block of learning with many practical activities planned. We have been using lots of different technical vocabulary: faces, vertices and edges to help our learning.
Next Thursday will be our class assembly. The assembly will be starting at 1:30pm. We warmly invite families to attend. However, we will be finished in time before the football starts!
This week in preparation for the Euro 2016 football tournament, the children each pulled out a team to support. Good luck to all and remember to let everyone know the results of your team.
I’m hoping for an England win tomorrow.
