Well done for another great week Reception!
This week we have been practising our Christmas show! Pupils have really enjoyed learning the songs and actions. Some pupils will be sent home with lines to practise! Please help them to learn their words 😊
Maths
This week in maths we have been exploring 2D shapes. We went on a shape hunt around the classroom and garden. We used shapes to create different shape patterns and looked at different pieces of Kandinsky artwork. Pupils have been identifying equal and unequal amounts and today we ordered numbers from 1 to 10.
Topic
In topic this week we read the story ‘Peace at last’ and we encouraged the pupils to repeat the sounds in the story. Everyone really enjoyed listening and joining in. We have also been talking about ‘what happens while we sleep’. We have shared our favourite dreams and created dream catchers.
