Reception Autumn 2 Week 2

Miss Booth Miss Skelton - 14 Nov 2025

Well done for a great week Reception!

This week has been very busy but fun!

Maths
During maths this week we have been looking at the concept of one more and one less. This is a very tricky concept to learn but all pupils did amazing. Well done everyone! We also looked at shapes including squares and rectangles. We identified how many sides they have. Pupils completed a shape hunt around the classroom seeing how many squares and rectangles they could find!

Topic
During topic this week we celebrated Remembrance day, we discussed why we wear poppies and pupils decorated their own poppy using tissue paper. Also in topic this week we looked at what routines we follow in the morning and at night. Including; brushing our teeth, getting dressed, going to school and going to sleep.

Thank-you to everyone who came to parent consultations on Wednesday it was lovely to see you all! We appreciate your continued support.

Next week we are starting our Christmas show practise. Some pupils will be coming home with lines to learn please support them with this.
