Reception Autumn 1 Week 8

Miss Booth and Miss Skelton - 24 Oct 2025

Well done for another great week everyone!

This week in maths we have been looking at one more and one less. This is a tricky concept to understand but the children really enjoyed learning about it this week.

We have also been busy looking at 2-D shapes! This week we focused on circles and triangles. Everyone was able to identify the shapes and could find many shapes around the room and in the garden! We have encourged everyone to continue looking for shapes in their environment during half term.

For topic this week, our focus has been Autumn. We have looked at Autumn animals and weather. We read a story called 'Don't Hog the Hedge' to help identify which animals hibernate.

We hope you all have a lovely half term.
