Autumn 1 Week 4

24 Sep 2025

We have had another exciting week in Year 1 this week. On Monday, we visited Barleylands Farm Park. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed all of the lovely activities that were planned for us. This included a tractor ride, learning about how wheat is grown and farmed and we made our own pizzas. Thank you to the parent volunteers who came along to help us on our trip. It was very much appreciated. The behaviour was brilliant from all the children.

During Maths lessons this week, we have been looking at greater than, less than and equal to. We had to use the correct symbol using the crocodile( the crocodile always wants to eat the bigger number).  We then completed a calculation to go with the symbol. In English lessons, we have been practising using capital letters and full stops. We enjoyed learning about where children in our classes' names came from.
