Reception Spring 2 Week 3

Mrs Divall and Miss Skelton - 14 Mar 2024

This week is assessment week at school.

Your children have completed reading and maths assessments.

We will share their attainment and progress with you all at parents consultations.

Next Thursday, you have been invited to book for our parental consultations.  Please ensure you do book as it is important.

We have a lot to tell you, in order to support you and your child through the second half of their reception year.

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes BEFORE your child’s appointment so that you have time to look at their books before we meet.  Please consider us and other families and turn up on time for your appointment.  Please respect the appointment is only short and we must keep to time to ensure everyone has an equal experience as when we run behind, it is often because people turn up late or at the incorrect time for their appointments.

We will share information about what they are learning now and next in phonics, and show you their latest maths assessments.

We will discuss with you your child’s strengths and also areas that we feel they need to concentrate on as targets.  You will receive a copy of these targets to take home, as well as suggested home activities to help your child meet the identified targets.

We hope that from this information you will feel informed as to how to help to support your child at home, as well as how we are supporting them at school.

If you have any specific questions there will be an opportunity for you to ask at the beginning of the meeting.
