Reception- Dinosaur Footprints

This week we have had lots of fun exploring ways to measure. We read some non-fiction texts about dinosaurs and then measured how long their footprints were. We ued measuring tapes to compare dinosaur's footprint sizes and the children then explored how to measure the length of different things in our provision.

We have been busy designing and decorating our own dinosaurs using a range of materials and we have really loved learning the names of all different types of dinosaurs including those which had armour, feathers and many other different things!

Children born between 01/09/2021 - 31/08/2022 are due to start Reception in September 2026.
Applications close on 15th January, 2026. Offer day is in the evening of 16th April, 2026.

If your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), please note there's a different process for school transfers. You'll need to contact the Special Educational Needs Team directly at sen@havering.gov.uk to discuss changing your child's school.

School will finish for the Christmas Holidays on Friday 19th December (children will leave school at 1:15pm) and will return to school on Monday 5th January 2026.
