Reception- Owl Babies

This week in Reception the children have been very interested and engaged with our learning about nocturnal and diurnal animals. We have compared and sorted animals, learnt lots about bats and amazed our teachers with our drawing and labelling a bat activity.
We have listened and acted out the story of Owl Babies, the children have enjoyed listening to this story.
In maths we have been focusing on routines and later on in the week we will be learning about 2D shapes.
Our new phonics groups have been going well and the children are working very hard to learn new sounds, read CVC words and they have been applying this in our topic work.
