Aut 1 Week 4 in Reception

This week we got to visit the Computing Suite for the first time! The children in both classes absolutely loved this experience and learnt how to use and control a mouse.
We conducted a science experiment to learn all about floating and sinking. We chose different objects and predicted whether they would float or sink, before testing this.
We have been reading the story "Lost and Found" and learning all about penguins this week. We will be drawing and decorating our own penguins and we enjoyed practicing our cutting skills, to create our own 2D shape penguins!
This week we began to learn our sounds in phonics :). The children have been keen to learn and practice their sounds and they have produced some lovely writing in their books.
In maths, we have been comparing numbers 1-10 and matching numeral to quantity.
