**It's Christmas!**

15 Dec 2016

The christmas holidays are finally here!! We are so excited and in Year 1 we have been doing lots in preparation! We have made christmas cards, calendars, paper chains and done lots of christmas colouring!

I am so very proud of everyone in the class for their outstanding performance in the nativity. They worked very hard to learn their songs/lines and remember what to do when! Thank you to all parents for practicing their songs at home.

We had so much fun at the christmas party with Year 2 and Reception on Wednesday. Thank you for bringing in such yummy food for us to share.

Homework has been included with maths and some research, as well as spellings.
PE kits have been sent home for parents to check, wash and return next term.

I have had a fabulous term with Year 1 and it has flown by! I am very proud of the progress they have made and look forward to seeing the children progress even further when they return.

Wishing you all a very merry christmas and a happy new year. I hope everyone has a lovely, restful break. See you back at school on Weds 4th January 2017.

Enjoy the pictures!
