Aut 2 Week 4- Longer or Shorter?

25 Nov 2016

This week in maths we have really enjoyed measuring lenghts and heights of different objects and ourselves. We have been very practical and used cubes to measure different things. We found out that Alfie C is the tallest in year 1, and Karah is the shortest. We have been learning about positions, using vocabulary such as next to, behind, beside, left, right, near and far. We have been practicing placing objects and ourselves in different positions. Enjoy our pictures of learning in maths below.

In Literacy we have been reading "The Duck in the Truck". We have been creating our own characters and re-writing the end of the story.

Thank you to all parents for attending the parents evenings this week. It was lovely meeting you all and having the opportunity to share all of the hard work and progression the children have made so far in year 1.

We aim to go to the library at least once a week on either a Thursday or Friday, when your child's library books will be changed. If there are any issues with this please speak to me.

Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Bhambra :)
