Week 2 in Year 1!

16 Sep 2016

We have had a busy week of leaarning in Year One. In Literacy we have been reading "The Gruffalo" and we've been busy creating our own Gruffalos, describing characters from the story and remembering to use the golden sentence rules in our writing!

In maths we have been learning about finding addition sentences and subsidising to 5 and 6.

In PE we had fun doing some gymnastics outside, and running to find the shade! Please don't forget to bring in your child's PE kit (every Wednesday PM) and to label all of their clothing- PE kits and school uniform.

Please remember that children need to have their top buttons done up on their polo shirts and need Brady ties to accompany their shirts, with their shirts tucked in. Also please remember black, non-slip school shoes for the children. They look so smart in their uniform!

Can i just remind all of the adults that children should have only water in their water bottles. Also please make sure children are lined up in the main playground by 8:45am.

Overall it's been a very fun, busy week and all of us in Year One have been working very hard in all subjects, practicing using our listening ears and putting our hands up when we have something to say!

Have a lovely weekend.
Miss Bhambra :)
