Week 2 Learning

Last week we had a fabulous week of learning.
The children are completely engrossed in ‘Oi Get off our Train’. We looked at using descriptive language to describe a setting. The high level of vocabulary used during lessons and in their written work was extremely pleasing. Our class target now is to ensure our handwriting is as neat as possible.
In Maths we have been looking at 3D shapes and the properties of specific shapes. The children matched up shapes and investigated shapes against its properties. We are continuing to focus on counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. This is progressing well. Next week tables will form part of the homework and the children will be tested on them.
In Science we looked around the school and classroom at the different materials used and this provided an engaging discussion. We moved our learning onto looking at the properties of specific materials.
