Week 7- Happy Half Term!

21 Oct 2016

In maths this week we have been estimating objects, remembering our number bonds to 5, 6 and 10 and practicing adding numbers as number sums.

In Literacy we have continued with our work on "Where the Wild Things are" and have produced some amazingly detailed, descriptive writing.

I am really proud of the children's work in phonics- we have learnt so many new sounds this half term including a-e, u-e, o-e, i-e, ow, ir and ea! We are now focussing on spelling out words with these sounds when we write.

We enjoyed BRICS this afternoon- the theme was spooky fun!

I hope you all have a lovely half term and come back feeling bright and refreshed, ready for a 7 week half term until Christmas! See you on the 31st October.

Children have all taken their PE kits home to be washed and check if everything still fits! Please ensure these are back by Wednesday 2nd November.
