This week the children began to look at different types of poetry and learned fun and interesting ways to perform it. After watching some wonderful examples, the children had a go at performing a poem using the new techniques they had learnt. They added actions and noises. Then they chose whether to use a loud voice or a whisper voice and considered whether it was a happy, sad, exciting or serious poem to add effect.
Maths
In Maths, the children have been recapping counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. They are gaining confidence with this but it would be great if you could also support them to practise this at home. Next week they will be…
Other
We continued to practise our Jubilee dance which the children are very excited for you to see next week! They also started to make decorations in preparation for the Jubilee celebrations too. In History, the children looked at Victorian artefacts and compared them to objects that are used today or what may have replaced these items.
