Reception Home Learning Update- Week 13

Mrs Zaayman & Miss Kelly - 29 Jun 2020

Hi everyone,

We haven’t received any emails this week of how you are doing and what you have been up to. We would love to hear from all of you to hear what you have been up to and how you are doing at home. We had some lovely weather last week, did anyone manage to get outside in the sunshine?

Today, there has been a new home learning pack uploaded on the school’s website under Home Learning -> How to help your children learn. This will be our last home learning pack as it covers the last 3 weeks of term before the summer holidays.

The pack covers the last couple of topics of Journies. The topics are Space, Summer and Transition into Year 1. The transition topic features various reflections of the year and looking forward to Year 1. It also includes a number of PSHE activities and resources to prepare your mentally and emotionally support your child as they move into Year 1.

If you have any worries/ concerns about your child as they move into Year 1, please email one of us at lkelly@brady.havering.sch.uk so we can assist further and ensure the transition process as a smooth as possible.

Last week we uploaded a link to a great e-book called “Yellow Learns about Germs” which is a great way to teach your child about germs. I have reuploaded this to make sure you can access it if you want to. Here’s the link: https://issuu.com/1decisionltd/docs/yellow-learns-about-germs

Please let us know what you are doing at home so we can share it with your friends. We will update the website again towards the end of the week with any pictures we receive. You can email any pictures to lkelly@brady.havering.sch.uk ๐Ÿ˜Š

Miss Kelly’s and Mrs Zaayman’s Learning Challenge:
We have kept some of the challenges the same this week to give you the opportunity to complete them. Remember, all you have to do to enter is complete the activity below and email a picture to lkelly@brady.havering.sch.uk  ๐Ÿ˜Š

Challenge 1-   If you could have any superpower, what would it be? Draw a picture of yourself with your superpower. My superpower would be the ability to fly so I could travel really fast.

Challenge 2-  Write a sentence about what you are looking forward to in Year 1 (3 Housepoints)

Challenge 3- Can you create your own bear hunt? Will you have to hop, skip, run, jump? (2 housepoints)

Stay safe and healthy!
