Reception Home Learning Update- Week 8

Mrs Zaayman & Miss Kelly - 29 May 2020

Hi all,
We have been very lucky lately to have some lovely weather! We hope you have continued to stay safe with your families at home!

Last week we published some resources to support your child’s mental health whilst being at home! We hope that you all (parents and children) are happy and well during these difficult times! It is important that during this time, we can look toward brighter times and encourage ourselves to stay positive! This week we have attached some additional mental health resources below.

It is important for us to reflect on the positives of lockdown and acknowledge some of the new skills that your children have learnt whilst being at home. For example, this could include cooking/baking, gardening or anything else.
Please continue to explore the different emotions that your child may feel. Talk about how they are feeling and encourage them to explain why they are feeling that particular way! So, if you can and would like to, please use these resources to support your child mentally and if would like any additional resources please just email either of us at lkelly@brady.havering.sch.uk.

We would just like to say a big thank you to all of you for keeping in contact where you can to update us on how your child is getting on at home and doing an amazing job with home schooling!

Please don’t forget to email us some pictures of what you are doing at home. You can email any pictures to lkelly@brady.havering.sch.uk ๐Ÿ˜Š

Mrs Zaayman’s and Miss Kelly’s Learning Challenge:
We have received some pictures this week of children who have completed the challenges. Remember, all you have to do to enter is complete the activity below and email a picture to lkelly@brady.havering.sch.uk  ๐Ÿ˜Š

Challenge 1-  Can you make a model using different materials in your home. Be as creative as you can! For example, you can use empty cardboard boxes, toilet roll tubes, plastic bottles or anything else you can find! (2 housepoints)
