First Week Of Learning

What a fantastic first week of learning in Year 1. The children have settled in extremely well and are working very hard. They are eager to learn and want to do their very best! We were learning about counting in Maths last week, and the children have started to use a number square to help them count on from 'bigger numbers'.
In Literacy we have been looking at a story called ' Class Two At The Zoo'.The class have been engrossed with the book and thought of some amazing words to describe the anaconda. I am really impressed with the high quality of writing produced so far.
It was lovely to see so many parents at the 'Meet the Teacher' meeting last Monday.
I'm looking forward to a lovely year of learning!
