This week in English the children found out that the teddy bears have gone on strike! The children have decided to invite them on our Teddy Bear's picnic next week. We have practiced using commas in a list and conjunctions in our sentences so that we can include these in our invitation when we write it to our teddy bears next week.
Maths
In maths this week we have been practicing counting money and adding coins together. The children have done really well with this. Next week we will revisit place value.
Topic
In science we have designed our own bug hotels for insects to live in. The children understood that insects need dark, small and moist places to live while some insects may need flowers and specific plants to eat. We have also learnt about lifeboat stations and researched where they are situated around the UK in geography.
Well done for another great week Year 2!
