Year 2A - Mr Ahmed Class News

We would like to say a huge well done to the children for a wonderful Nativity performance! They have worked really hard to ensure it was a success. We would also like to say a big thank you to the parents for coming to support the children and for helping them to practise their lines. 

English
This week we have been reading Mog's Christmas. The children have been really engaged and were surprised to find that a visitor had been into our class and had left behind some toys. The children used these clues to figure out who had visitied us. Then the children recieved a letter from a film producer who asked them to create their own film strips of the story. Finally the children focused on using past tense to desribe each scene. 

Maths 
This week we finished our addition and subtraction unit with solving missing problems. We then started our shape topic and began by identifying 2D and 3D shapes. 

Next week, we would like to invite Year 2 to bring in a board game on Thursday so that we can play them together on Friday.
