English
This week Year 2 have started to learn about instructions in English. They learnt why it is important to write them in the correct order. Then they learnt about time conjunctions and imperative (bossy) verbs.
Maths
This week the children have been learning a difficult concept of adding two 2 digit numbers across 10 using column method. The children have been using base 10 to support their understanding of this and have been trying really hard with this concept.
Topic
In Science, the children have continued to learn about biomes. They had lots of fun sorting and classifying animals into the correct biome. After, they made their own ‘Who am I?’ clues describing an animal’s features of how it had adapted to its habitat.
