In English this week, children wrote their repetition poems about the rainforest. They worked hard to encorporate lots of expanded noun phrases and conjunctions in their poems. The children then moved onto their new text: Stick Man. They each illustrated a page of the book, to create their own version of the story. The children used the different images from the text to make inferences about Stick Man's feelings throughout the story.
Maths
This week in maths, the children learned how to find change from 10p, 20p, 50p and £1. This was a challenge for us, so if you have any spare change at home it would be nice for the children to practise this skill in the local shop at the weekend!
Topic
This week the children enjoyed RE. They learned about the Easter story, then created Easter card designs which included symbols important to Christians at Easter.
