W.B. 13.01.25

15 Jan 2025

English
This week the children have been using the -er and -est suffixes in their writing, to describe the lion from their class text - The Lion and the Mouse. The children have also been practising using conjunctions to join ideas and extend ideas in their sentences.

Maths
This week we have concluded our learning about Shape in Year 2. The children have been sorting 3D shapes into groups and completing patterns with shapes.

Topic
In History, the children looked at an old map of Rainham and discussed how things had changed in the local area in the past 60 years. In music, the children learned a new song called Grandma Rap. The children really enjoyed learning how to rap in time and join in with the sign language too!
