Maths
In Maths this week we practised a new skill of adding two 2 digit numbers. We used concrete resources to help us. Once the children felt confident doing this, we moved on to adding two 2 digit numbers across ten.
English
After last week’s food tasting lessons, the children planned and wrote poems. They focused on including the ‘ness’ suffix to describe the foods they had tried. Then they performed their poems to the class.
Topic
In Geography, the children used compasses to locate countries, cities and oceans surrounding the UK. In Science Year 2 have been identify and naming animals in their habitats. We discussed how these animals have adapted to their habitats which sparked some interesting discussions!
