Week 3 Autumn 2

18 Nov 2022

Year 4 have shown great resilience this week, dealing with teacher absence and supplies.

In English, the children wrote the final drafts of their biographies. We had some fantastic pieces of writing all about the life of King Athelstan. The children included fronted adverbials and ensured that they wrote in chronological order.

During Reading, the children have continued reading our novel Rumblestar. We are really getting to grips with our two main characters and the similarities and differences between them. The children also worked on their vocabulary and inference skills too.

We had an absolutely fantastic time on our trip last week. The children showed exemplary behaviour and were a real credit to the school. We learnt lots about what a Roman Villa would have looked like, and the remains of Lullingstone were fascinating to see.

Have a great weekend.
