Week 1 Spring 1

07 Jan 2022

Welcome back Year 4.

What a great first week of 2022 it has been!

We started our new topic Invasion this week, looking specifically at the demise of Roman Britain and the invasion of the Angol-Saxons. In History, we looked at how life changed after The Romans were forced to leave their rule of Britain.

In Reading and English, we have started a new novel- The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The children have enjoyed this book already, using their prediciting and vocabulary skills to aid their understanding. The children also created short poems based on the beginning of the book.

This week in Maths, we have been continuing with our topic Multiplication and Division. The children perservered well with associative law, even when finding the concept a little challenging.
