Week 1 Summer 1

21 Apr 2023

Welcome back to a brand new term Year 4.

The children have had a fantastic first week back and have settled into routines really well.

In English, we have started our new unit, preparing to write a non-chronological report all about teeth. We have looked at a good example of one, and what grammar features we would need to include. This has included subheadings and writing in the third person.

During our DT/Science lessons, we have begun looking at the human digestive system. We explored the different organs that are involved with the process of digesting food. We also did a very interesting experiment... creating our own digestive system, which included making poo! The children did very well in this lesson and were very good at using scientific vocabulary.

Have a lovely weekend.
