Week 1 Summer 2
10 Jun 2022
The children have enjoyed some extra science lessons this week for science week, where we have been learning about Hertha Ayrton. We created posters all about her and her amazing life and conducted research. We also created electric circuits ot link to her work on the electric arc.
In Maths, the children have worked hard with Statistics. We have interpreted bar charts, line graphs and pictograms. Next week we will be moving onto properties of shape.
We have been learning all about our new topic 1066 in History and DT this week, preparing for our school trip to Mountfitchet Castle next Friday 17th June. We looked at the timeline of the year 1066 and ordered the events which happened. We have also started to look at Bayeux Tapestry, before the children begin to make their own.
Have a lovely weekend.
Attached are the newsletter and homework map, as well as some photos from the Jubilee celebrations and Science week.
