Miss Stevens - 20 Mar 2026
Year 4 have had a great week this week. They all had fun visiting the River Thames as part of our topic Misty Mountains and Winding Rivers. Thank you to parents for attending parents consultations on Wednesday. It was great to share how hard the children have been working in year 4!
This week in maths, we have continued our learning about decimals. We have looked at tenths and hundreths as part of a whole and learned how to partition decimals.
In English this week, we have started to plan a narrative all about Bear and April from our book we have been reading; The Last Bear. We have learned how to use inverted commas correctly and different types of sentences such as simple, compound and complex.
Children have also enjoyed designing a product inspired by William Morris this week in D.T.
We have sent a maths homework sheet home this week which will support our maths work.
Reminders:
Next week will be our last week at swimming.
Please remember that 4P will have their class assembly on
Thursday 26th March in the morning and then both classes will have shared learning.
