Well done year 4 for completing another week!
In English, we started writing our non chronological report on 1066. This children were given chrome books to research about 1066 but also used their knowledge from history.
In shared reading, we carried on reading the last bear. On Monday we used evidence from the text to answer questions on how April’s life has changed. On Tuesday, the children were given different statements where they had to fill in true, false or no evidence in the text. On Wednesday, as a class we discussed our predictions for what we think will happen next.
In maths, we started our new topic length and perimeter. We learnt how to find the perimeter on a grip, rectilinear shapes and a rectangle. They also learnt how to measure in metres and kilometres.
In art, we made our own butterfly pattern stamps for our topic animals.
In science, the children enjoyed creating string phones and learning about how sound travels through vibrations.
The children have been given homework to complete!
As always, please ensure you are reading 5 times a week and going on TTRS 3 times a week.
