10.11.25 - 14.11.25
14 Nov 2025
Thank you to all the parents and carers who attended our consultations this week. It was great to share the children’s progress so far. We really appreciate your time and support.
This week in English, we have been planning and writing a persuasive letter to Mr Lace, a character from Krindlekrax. After gathering ideas, the children wrote their first draft of the letter, making sure to include key skills such as cause and effect conjunctions and a range of persuasive language including emotive vocabulary, rhetorical questions, and exaggeration. The children worked incredibly hard to create convincing arguments!
In maths, we began our new unit on multiplication and division. We focused on the 3 times table, multiplying and dividing by 6, division facts, and multiplying and dividing by 9. The children showed great determination and used patterns and known facts to help them with their calculations.
In science, we explored the digestive system. The children enjoyed drawing the different organs onto their T-shirts to show the journey food takes through the body. This creative activity helped them visualise and understand how the digestive system works.
The children have been sent home with a homework sheet this week.
