Miss Pillai - 24 Oct 2025

Well done year 4 for making it to the end of the half term!

This week in English, we have finished our English topic poetry. They have created their own poems on animals. Next half term we will we learning how to write a persuasive letter.

In shared reading this week, we have read ‘wind on the hill’. The children then answered inference and retrieval questions based on this poem. They also created a lovely picture using key words in the poem. Next half term we will be reading 'Krindlekrax'.

In maths this week, we have consolidated our learning on everything that we have learnt this half term. We have also had a look at our next topic which is area. The children answered questions about how to find the area of a shape ready for when they come back next half term.

In R.E, we learnt about ‘dharma’ and go dharmic. The children created  an informative poster about what dharma means and how what the go dharmic campaign does to follow dharma.

In science and History, the children consolidated their learning by making posters about what we have learnt in our invasion and states of matter topic.

As always please ensure that your child is reading 5 times a week and going on TTRS 3 times a week.

The children looked fantastic today for break the rules!]

We have also sent some homework for the children to complete over the half term :).
