Week 6 Autumn 2

In Year 4 this week we have had a busy week of rehearsals for our (recorded) Christmas performance. The children performed all the songs beautifully and I am looking forward to you all being able to watch the recording.
We continued on with reading Rumblestar in our
Reading lessons, with the children building on their sequencing, retrieval and explanation skills. The children did particuarly well when sequencing events that happened in Chapter 8.
In
Geography this week, we explored contour lines and grid references. We used an Ordanance Survey to look at different mountains and hills around the Lake District. The children used their skills to find the height of the peak, as well as the four figure grid reference. Well done 4S.
For
French this week, the children recapped the months of the year. Year 4 really enjoy their French lessons and this is shown through their high-quality work that they produce.
