Week 4

30 Sep 2021

Year 4 have had another fantastic week.

In Science, the children performed an experiment on dilution. We used fairy liquid with different amounts of water to test how dilution levels would affect the size of the bubble they would blow.

This week during History/Computing, the children researched a famous gladiator. After collecting their research, they created a fact file on that person. There were some amazing piece of work from this lesson!

In English and Shared Reading, the children were contiuning to look at The Firework Maker's Daughter. We had some great role play from some children, as well as some fantastic summaries of Chapter 5. The children also wrote detailed descriptions of characters such as the Goddess of the Lake, and the Full Moon Ceremony, using fronted adverbials and subordinating conjunctions.

Well done 4S. Next week we are starting our new Maths unit: addition and subtraction.

Have a lovely weekend.

Miss Smith.
