Miss Burgess Update 30/04

30 Apr 2020

Home Learning

I have really enjoyed seeing all of your home learning that you have been doing over the past week, there has been so many fantastic emails!

Alfie has been keeping busy by baking, drawing, practising his handwriting and exercising on his trampoline.

Daisy has been keeping up to date with her maths work and has even found the time to make a brilliant bird feeder.

Rebecca has completed a poem all about her lockdown experience and has completed a persuasive piece of writing about whether children should wear school uniform or not.

Finally, Lacey has been VERY busy! She has become a chef, a poet, a designer, an author and a coder within the last week. Lacey has made a list of all of my online challenges and is making her way through completing them outside of her school work to earn as many house points as possible for her house. Keep up the great work Lacey! 😊

Weekly Challenge by Miss Burgess
Each will I will be setting 3 optional challenges for you to do at home. By completing each challenge, you can earn house points which I will keep track of to be added when we return to school. You may complete 1 or all 3 challenges but photo evidence must be sent to my email address above to earn these points 😊
  1. Help your adult.
    5 House Points

Ask you adult for some chores toy can be in charge of for the next week and make sure you complete them each day.
  2. Bird Feeder.
    4 House Points

Make a simple or elaborate bird feeder from materials you have around your home.
  3. Native American Village
    8 HOUSE POINTS

When we come back to school our topic will be Road Trip USA and while we learn all about America we are going to be learning about Native American Tribes. I would like you to research and create your own Native American Village to decorate our brand new classroom when we go back.

I hope you and all of you families are staying safe at home. Please don’t hesitate to email for any further support or guidance 😊
