Summer 1 Week 4

09 May 2024

Well done for another brilliant week, Year 4.

This week, in Maths, we completed our unit on Money. Most of the children struggled with this unit, mainly due to not being exposed to cash/coins as frequently. However, they did show great resilience throughout the unit, and they all made progress and were more confident by the last lesson. Well done. Next week, we are starting our unit on Time. Please ensure that you are practising telling the time on an analogue clock with your child. By this point in Year 4, they should be fluently reading the time, and being able to convert between a 12 and 24-hour clock. Thank you.

In Geography, we have been exploring mountains of the UK. The children did some research on a number of different mountains, researching key facts such as their height, location and tourism levels. The children did very well with this lesson, and enjoyed using the Chromebooks to complete their research.

In PSHE, we have been discussing the importance of Computer Safety. We have talked about the positives and negatives of the internet, and what precautions we can take to ensure that we are being safe whilst using our devices.

Happy weekend.
