Spring 2 week 4

22 Mar 2024

Well done for a great week, Year 4.

This week, in Maths we have continued with our unit on Decimals. The children have shown great understanding of decimals and have done well with concepts such as dividing a one digit number by 10 and placing tenths on a number line and a place value grid.

In English, the children completed their first and then final drafts of their fact files. They had done lots of research all about a river of their choice, and then wrote some brilliant fact files full of information about their rivers. They included determiners, subordinating conjunctions and wrote in present tense.

DUring our Art lesson, the children were creating designs based on animal prints and textures. They studied the patterns of peacocks, cheetahs, zebras and many more animals. They then painted over their deisgns and created their own prints free hand. There were some brilliant creations and the children really showcased their creative skills.

Happy weekend.
