Week 5 Spring 2
24 Mar 2023
Well done Year 4 for another great week.
This week in Maths we have been continuing learning about decimals. The children have been converting hundredths to fractions/decimals and have been placing decimals on number lines/place value charts. They have showed an excellent understanding.
In Reading, we have been looking at a poem called Budapest by Billy Collins. We have used our inference skills to uncover how we think the author may have been feeling when they wrote the poem. We have also used our prediction skills, and used dictionaries/thessaurases to look at unknown vocabulary and synonyms in the poem.
We did some sewing in DT and made more electrical circuits in Science. The children have been very sensible with these practical lessons, and Mrs Agates and I were so impressed by lots of their sewing skills!
Happy weekend.
