Week 1 Spring 2

24 Feb 2022

Welcome back Year 4, well done for a fantastic first week back.

In Maths, the children have continued with the topic of Fractions. The whole class have done very well with both adding and subtracting fractions, recognising that the denominator will stay the same. Next week will be our final week on this topic.

For our topic this term, we are learning about Road Trip USA! In Geography, we started to look at the states in the USA, focussing on those especially that had Native American Tribes. The children gave a great go at placing where they thought the states were on the map!

In English, we have started our new writing unit of a Biography, where the children will be writing about a chosen American Idol. Year 4 have started to conduct some in-depth research on some inspirational figures, and it has been lovely to see them take such an interest in the History of some role-models such as Barack Obama, Helen Keller and many more.

Happy weekend!
