Weeks 2/3 Summer 1

04 May 2022

Well, what a busy couple of weeks we have had!

Last week, the children dealt very well with our Osted inspector coming to visit. Year 4 were as respectful, polite and welcoming as they always are. We were so proud of them and the excellent behaviour they displayed.

The children have started their new topic of 'Money' in Maths, recapping Year 3 skills such as converting between pounds and pence, as well as tackling new concepts such as rounding money. They did very well, well done Year 4.

In English, the children wrote their final drafts of their non-chronological reports about teeth. Mrs Wall and I were blown away by the standard of some of the writing in Year 4! We are going to be proudly displaying them in the classroom.

For our Science lessons, the children have been learning all about teeth and digestion. We have recently been comparing the digestive systems of different animals to humans, as well as looking at the journey of food through our bodies. The children were very mature about some of the vocabulary used in these lessons!

Have a fantastic weekend.
